PIANO / 2016 Associate Artist
Megan Steller is currently studying at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, majoring in musicology. She is passionate about music research and currently writes programme notes for Hopkins Sinfonia and the University of Melbourne Orchestra. Currently, Megan is researching the music set to texts by Robert Louis Stevenson, and recently performed, with bass-baritone Daniel Carison, the song cycle Songs of Travel, based on Stevenson’s poetry, and set by Ralph Vaughn Williams. Megan has just launched an online space, REHEARSALmagazine, to champion young musicians and composers in Australia, and is looking forward to developing it further. She enjoys playing new music, and collaborating with young composers. With a background in vocal accompaniment and voice coaching, performing with Ensemble Goldentree is an exciting opportunity to work in a new capacity.
