Stephen Marsh



Stephen is a 25 year old Baritone who resides in Geelong, studying operatic voice under the tutelage of Roger Howell. He has been the recipient of multiple scholarships including the Barbra Pigdon Memorial scholarship, John Duncan scholarship and is currently on a full scholarship with the Opera Scholars Australia Program. Most recently, Stephen was awarded the Betty Amsden AO Scholarship ‘Opera Scholar of the Year’, for Australian Music Events 2016/17 season. Stephen has performed with Melbourne Opera as a Soloist and has been a chorus member for the past 4 years. Stephen has also performed with Victorian Youth Opera as a soloist and chorus member. Other companies that Stephen has performed with include: Melbourne Lyric Opera Company, Gippsland Opera and Shoestring Opera Company.


Stephen’s most recent engagements include the role of ‘Gasparo’ in the sold out season of Donizetti's 'Rita', 'Captain Segura'; in the Australian Premiere of Malcolm Williamson's 'Our Man in Havana'; and “The Woodcutter” In Victorian Opera's production of 'Sleeping Beauty'.
