2013 - People's Chamber Music
Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition

Ensemble Goldentree originally formed in 2013 at Monash Univeristy, whilst it's original member's were taking chamber music studies together. Tim Hannah (horn), Alison McIntosh-Deszcz (soprano) and Jacob Davey (piano) named the group Trio Archipelago and performed works by Franz Lachner, Hector Berlioz and Charles Gounod. A number of these works would later be used in Ensemble Goldentree's debut concert, 'Of Romantics, Distance & Water' in 2015.
In this original guise the ensemble participated in the People's Chamber Music concert at the Melbourne Recital Centre. This event, run by the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, brought together community and university ensembles and gave them the opportunity to perform in a world class venue for an enthusiastic crowd. Tim, Alison and Jacob performed a selection of works by Franz Lacher in this, their first public performance as an ensemble.
